1 1.5 Exploring Angle Pairs

2 Adjacent angles  two angles that share the same vertex, and also share a common side (ray) and have no interior points in common. Adjacent means “next to” examples

3 Vertical Angles Are two angles such that the sides of one angle are opposite rays to the sides of the other angle. When two lines intersect, they form two pairs of vertical angles.

4 Complementary Angles Are two angles whose measures have the sum 90. Each angle is called the complement of the other.

5 Supplementary Angles Are two angles whose measures have the sum Each angle is called a supplement of the other.
