The ACCE (analytic validity, clinical validity, clinical utility and associated ethical, legal and social implications) model is a framework of four key factors set out by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention Office of Public Health Genomics to evaluate new genetic tests for validity and utility. This model can also be applied to the field of neuroimaging-based biomarkers of pain, which is currently in a research discovery phase. Davis, K. D. et al.
