On the Windows Taskbar right click on the speaker and select sound

Select ‘Playback’ tab, then select ‘Speakers USB Audio CODEC’ and then ‘Properties’

Select the ‘Levels’ tab and adjust the ‘Speakers’ slider for a 60db input level on the indicator in the lower left corner then click ‘OK’

Select ‘Recording’ tab, then select ‘Microphone USB Audio CODEC’ and then ‘Properties’

On the Waterfall select a clear spot to adjust the transmit level by holding the shift key and left clicking the mouse to set transmit frequency

Select ‘Tune” on the main page to turn on transmit (you may have to minimize the main page to get your sound menus back)

Even – Transmits at the 00 and 30 Second mark Receives at the 15 and 45 second mark Odd – Transmits at the15 and 45 Second mark Receives at the 00 and 30 Second mark

41 Selecting the Transmit Frequency
Study the Waterfall and pick a clear spot to transmit on Hold the shift key down and left click the mouse to on the spot to set the transmit frequency

42 Start Calling CQ Select ‘Enable Tx’ to start calling CQ
With the ‘Auto Seq’ check the computer will sequence through the steps to complete the when someone answers your CQ

43 Call Ended When the call completes you will be prompted to log the call Click ‘OK’ and the call will be logged Select ‘Enable Tx’ to start the next call

44 A Suggestions That Work for Me
Use the same start and stop sequence for your programs each time FT8 Pick a transmit frequency under 2kHz Keep transmit power under 20 watts Switch between Odd & Even time periodically
