Product Release Update (July 7, 2015)
Knotless suturetak & reelpass Cartiform synergy 4k & curved torpedo
2
Knotless SutureTak Knotless SutureTak combines the proven and reproducible SutureTak design and insertion procedure with knotless soft tissue fixation. Currently only available in 3.0mm PEEK The BioComposite version is being evaluated and should be released mid-2015
3
Advantages 57 lbs of secure, low profile knotless suture fixation
No risk of knot impingement or knot loosening Cannulated design minimizes anchor material volume Simple, reproducible percutaneous insertion techniques Easily maintain the guide trajectory while drilling and inserting the anchor for six o’clock position Suture tension is controlled and adjusted under direct visualization
4
Key Points – Drills/Guides
The KL SutureTak is compatible with all 3 mm SutureTak instrumentation. The AR-1938D 2.6 mm drill is slightly larger than the AR-1250LT 2.4 mm drill and should be used for hard bone. It’s recommended to cycle the drill in-and-out of the drill hole to remove bone debris if hard bone is encountered.
5
Key Points – Suture Management
The white section of the suture should be folded in half when shuttling down to create the locking mechanism The white portion of the suture is tapered and smaller creating less resistance when pulled through the splice Try to use an accessory portal as instructed in the surgical technique to help avoid suture twists Suture twists can sometimes occur during final tensioning of the repair. These twists can be removed with a suture retriever. To prevent these twists: The tail end of the Nitinol Wire needs to be free of twists prior creating the locking mechanism. The tail end is cleared by retrieving the tail with a suture retriever at the anchor insertion site.

Who are your targets? Surgeons currently using SutureTaks
Surgeons using competitor products, especially those who are interested in Knotless design, but maybe did not like PushLocks for some reason Surgeons performing hybrid repairs DO NOT CANNIBALIZE your current PushLock customers! Nick and Timko will be following up with each rep about their targets.

ReelPass Suture Lasso This suture passing device contains 10 yards of blue #1 monofilament Provides the user with a continuous supply of monofilament without the need to reload. The ergonomic handle and thumbwheels were designed to easily advance the monofilament. The 1.5 mm tip diameter is the smallest on the market and is always sharp. Three different tip configurations (90° straight, 45° right, 45° left) Packaged sterile and single-use
10
Key Selling Points Typical monofilament length is 36 inches (1 yard) – with 10 yards of monofilament, the user can shuttle suture 10 times without needing to reload the device. The device has the smallest diameter tip on the market minimizing the puncture hole to pass through the tissue. With a reusable device – like some competitors offer – the user may struggle to pass the monofilament due to a compromised tip that is damaged or dulled – the ReelPass is guaranteed sharp and ready to pass.
11
Pearls Dual thumb wheel: the device works better if both wheels are spun simultaneously to quickly and easily advance the monofilament for retrieval. One-way ratcheting: a ratcheting mechanism in the handle only allows the monofilament to move forward out of the device and not backward preventing possible tangling in the handle. Not approved as an implantable: currently, the monofilament is not approved as an implantable and can only be used to shuttle suture. Dilating knot: (pictured below) a dilating knot ahead of the suture shuttling knot may facilitate smoother passage through the labrum.
12
Targets Linvatec Spectrum customers that prefer to shuttle suture with a monofilament, tied knot. It may be worth talking with HIGH volume SutureLasso SD users, but keep in mind this will alter their technique slightly because it will require them to tie a knot around their suture. Item Description Diameter Price (Stocking) AR 90 deg ReelPass SL 1.5mm $160 AR 90 deg SD SutureLasso 1.8mm $140

•Defibrillation proof type CF applied device •Smaller camera heads
SynergyUHD4 New Functionality •UHD output •New light engine •Built-in wireless •Larger tablet •USB 3.0 connections •iPad USB port (MFi) •Defibrillation proof type CF applied device •Smaller camera heads
24
Why 4K/UHD? •4 times the number of pixels as 1080p (8.29 million vs million) – UHD = 3840 x 2160
25
More pixels means... •More fine detail •Better texture •More depth
•Improved color resolution •3D like picture
26
The 4K Difference
27
Colors •HD has 8-bit color = 17 million colors
•Significantly more colors available in UHD4 •HD has 8-bit color = 17 million colors •UHD has 10-bit color = >1 billion colors
28
Why do enhanced and expanded colors matter to us?
Colors tell more of the story in other specialties General, ENT, anywhere a scope is used Synergy.net in other specialties means we are locked in on the back end to the hospital not just the Orthopedic Surgeons New streams of scope business and bigger service contracts Other specialties have never seen the Arthrex software based platform We have targeted brochures and video promos designed for our expanded reach Video opportunities increase in volume and total $ A $200K sale can turn into a $1 million sale
29
SynergyUHD4 Light Engine
•About 25% greater output than HD3 light engine •New software control to maximize output •Smaller profile •Same warranty (30,000 hours)
30
SynergyUHD4 Tablet •New larger Samsung tablet •New connector
•Cradle connected to tablet; remove cable rather than removing tablet from cradle •Sold separately (not included with UHD4)

Introducing the Curved Torpedo™
33
Torpedo™ The Torpedo’s unique tip shape, which is similar to a switching stick, allows the surgeon to position it much more easily than traditional shaver blades that are rounded at the end. The Torpedo’s tip features an ovoid outer window shape with a smooth cutting edge. This shape restricts the size of tissue pieces that get into the window, reducing the chances of clogging, especially during meniscectomies. The Torpedo is deceptively aggressive and its resection capability sets the new gold standard.
34
Torpedo™ The bullet-nosed outer tip provides another advantage: it helps keep the inner tube concentric with the outer tube. While this may not seem important, this provided us with two key aspects in its design: 1. The tolerance between the inner and outer tubes is tighter, creating the ability to have the cutting edges act more in a scissor-like fashion. This increases its ability to slice through tissue rather than “grab and tear” as is so common with its toothed counterparts. And… 2. The concentricity between the tubes creates a more stable operation. This is reflected in how much control the surgeon has over the Torpedo during its use.
35
Curved Torpedo™ In addition to the Torpedo’s outstanding design assets, the Curved Torpedo provides increased placement possibilities, reaching into tight spaces such as the posterior knee to provide rapid placement and efficient tissue resection. Its “clog-less” curved shaft design features a series of wrapped metal bands, the smallest of which has an ID larger than the tip, allowing free passage of any tissue entering the curved portion of the blade.
