A written paper (less than 10 pages) Times new roman Font size 12 Double spaced 1 Inch margins Cover page should have all members Full Names, ID numbers, and student signatures Material needs to be cited using MLA format

4 In Text Citations Romantic poetry is characterized by the "spontaneous overflow of powerful feelings" (Wordsworth 263).

5 Works Cited Page Begin your Works Cited page on a separate page at the end of your research paper. It should have the same one-inch margins and last name, page number header as the rest of your paper. Label the page Works Cited and center the words Works Cited at the top of the page. Double space all citations, but do not skip spaces between entries. Indent the second and subsequent lines of citations five spaces so that you create a hanging indent. Entries are listed alphabetically by the author's last name

6 Citing Books The author’s name or a book with a single author's name appears in last name, first name format. The basic form for a book citation is: Lastname, Firstname. Title of Book. 8 Requirements for Group Assignment - Presentation
15 minutes maximum. All material should be effectively delivered. Powerpoint Presentation Required. All members of the group should speak.

9 Grading - Paper 15 points for content. 10 points for presentation
A good introduction Valid supporting points A good summary 10 points for presentation Excellent grammar and spelling All researched text, cited. A completed works cited list An attractive Cover page, with required information Please note that the cover page and the works cited pages are included in the 10 pages.

10 Grading - Presentation
All members should speak. Points will be deducted if the presentation goes over 15 minutes. Summarize findings to the class. Content/Delivery – 18 points Power point presentation – 2 points

11 Tips for success for the writing assignment
Start dividing work today. You got a month to finish this assignment. By next week each member should finish their research. Next week each group member should be assigned tasks. DISCUSS, DISCUSS, DISCUSS. Write your papers and submit them to me early, I will give you constructive criticism as needed. One person should volunteer to collect all the written parts and put them together into a final paper. Expect to write 2 drafts before the final paper is completed.

12 Tips for success for the presentation
Have a good powerpoint! Introduce all the group members. Speak for 10 minutes, answer questions for 5. Dress Well!! Practice, practice, practice. Ask your fellow group members for pointers. Be confidant, you are in class where everyone wants to see you succeed.

13 Final Thoughts Remember both the paper and the presentation will make you more confidant students. You are here to learn and the skills you will gain are skills that will never be forgotten. DON’T wait till the last minute. Research your topic thoroughly. Every single one of you should be experts of your topic at the end of the 4 weeks.
