2. In 1609 Holland got Henry Hudson to reach china by sailing around the northern shores of Europe. His crew got tired and got him to go a different route.

3. He was sailing around the coast and found a narrow harbor and entered it. He saw a large body of water. He thought it was the northwest passage but it was a river.

Henry gave Holland a part of north America. In 1624 Dutch had settled in Hudson valley.

5. In 1610 English merchants paid Hudson to cross the Atlantic and he found Canada. He sailed up north . He passed through a long narrow strait.

6. He thought he had reached the pacific ocean but he found no opening It was a bay.

7. In the spring the crew came together again
In the spring the crew came together again.7 other people came with them. Hudson was never seen again.
