SUPPLY LIST Dedicated binder Notebook paper, pen, pencil, highlighter Optional, but strongly recommended: Tissue, hand sanitizer Grading Policy: Tests – 40% Homework – 10% Classwork – 20% Quizzes – 30% American History I Ms. Enright Room 301 Textbook: United States History CLASSROOM EXPECTATIONS Come to class on time. Come to class prepared. Be responsible for your learning. Respect yourself and each other at all times. EXTRAS: TEST DAYS are on Tuesdays TUTORING after school on Thursdays, 4:00-4:45 Make Ups and Missing Assignments When you are absent, check assignment notebook for assignments. Per GCS policy, you have THREE days to make up missing assignments from the day you return to school There is a 20 point per day penalty for late work.

Electronics Policy: There is a phone in the room by which we all can be reached in case of an emergency. Therefore, unless your cell phone is being used with teacher permission, it is to be kept out of sight, on silent. Failure to abide by these usage guidelines will result in the student being sent to SI and a Discipline Referral. No charging phones, ever, period! Power School: If you aren’t already using it, PLEASE go to the Grimsley website and get on board. If you find you are missing an assignment, check the “Is this Yours?” board…If you want credit for it, kindly put your name on it! Get rid of the head phones during class! 3 Instructions for Setting Up Your Required Binder:
Make sure your name is on the front or on the front inside of your binder in case it is misplaced. Student property left in my room goes to the Attendance Office if I have no idea to whom it belongs. Label your tabs as follows: Class Information (This is where you should put your Syllabus, templates for A/B sentences or Vocabulary Cards, general instructions for assignments, etc.) Historical Thinking Unit I: Post-Civil War America Unit II: Imperialism/Progressivism Unit III: The Great War and Its Legacy Unit IV: World War II/Early Cold War Unit V: Social Movements Unit VI: Closing of the Cold War Unit VII: The Role of Terrorism Miscellaneous
