Discovery -5 months At least 5 months of one “approved” project, i.e., delve into a subject deeply. Additional use of this time period + 2 weeks off. Translation Phase – 9 months Required Courses-4 Sub Internship (Med/Ped/Surg) Emergency Medicine Critical Care Medicine Capstone (April only) Electives-3 At EUSM 1-3 Away 1-2: US or abroad Optional months-2 Vacation ???? 1 month: Study and take Step II 1 month: Interviews Nov-Feb If take a Year Off: No Discovery (except MBA). MSCR - 3 mo elective. Use the 5 mo. of additional time productively: more electives, some time off. *****If Application Phase is incomplete, including missed exams: Must make up clerkship(s) or course work before starting Discovery.
