June 2006 Description of Short-range LOS Usage Model Use cases Application mix Comments Short range LOS U3, U4, U5, U6, U7, U8, U9, U12, U13, U16, U17 P-MP and P-P Usage model limited for LOS and Short Range (< 5 m) To be evaluated at PHY-SAP Application mix is not important because performance should be evaluated at the PHY-SAP. Due to the TX power limitation, transmission distance is basically short. Then most of practical use cases including file transfer, video streaming, mobile gaming and ad-hoc meeting can be covered by this usage model. NiCT, NTT
Conclusion Short-range LOS applications are suggested.
