9 ACCOMMODATION PRICING
Independent survey results for Hospitality Industry: Industry in general has practiced responsible and fair pricing for the event. 74% of all establishments are charging a 50% premium or less. A total of 48% of establishments will not be charging a premium at all. 27% of establishments will not even be charging a premium on their lowest 2010 rate. Only 26% intend to charge more 50% more than their highest normal 2010 rates. Department and industry have consistently encouraged consumers to shop around (there is plenty to choose from).
