Review of the Professional Standards A National Conversation “Your Professional Standards, Your Professional Voice” 5 years have now passed since the introduction of the suite of Professional Standards. Having given a commitment to review the Professional Standards, it is time to reflect on how these have impacted on the profession and to consider in what ways they can be improved. Original thinking is that this is; ‘not a complete review but rather a time for a refresh’ But this is subject to change in the consultation phase GTC Scotland 11 November 2018

10 Review of the Professional Standards A National Conversation “Your Professional Standards, Your Professional Voice” National conversation Launched at the Scottish Learning Festival, the next step in this review process is to start a National Conversation around the Professional Standards. There will be a Scotland wide data gathering exercise led by GTCS staff to engage partners, teachers, parents, children and young people and stakeholders in discussing what Professional Standards mean to them and what they should look like in the future. GTC Scotland 11 November 2018
