Near 4 to 5 million years ago the Paleolithic Era began.
During the Paleolithic Era there were stone tools. Also there were hunters and gatherers
                                       

2. Mesolithic Era
During the Mesolithic era the humans used a variety of tools such as bone tools and hooks. The weapons they used were flint knifes and bows and arrows. To get across rivers they used canoes.
                          
                         
                               

3. Neolithic Era
During the Neolithic era the humans used tools such as saws, hand drills and could create fire. The era began 10,000 years ago. They learned to farm and domesticate animals. The era ended when metal was introduced.

4. Homo Habilis
The homo habilis roamed Africa for about 2.5 million years. It was the first of the homo species. The homo habilus used stone tools and their brain was half the size of ours.
                           

5. Homo Erectus
Roamed Africa for 1.5 to 2 million years. The Homo Erectus used more advanced tools then the homo habilus. This hominid could control fire, the homo habilus who could only make fire.

6. Homo Sapiens
The homo sapiens appeared in Africa about 200,000 years ago. They migrated around the world. Learned to create fire. They developed language.
