3 What is DoD PARC? Formed in 2009
Purpose of the program is to provide leadership, guidance, and technical support for the conservation and management of amphibians and reptiles on DoD lands in support of military readiness Leadership: Chris Petersen-National Representative; Rob Lovich-National Technical Representative; DoD PARC Representatives

4 Membership: 320 members and growing DoD PARC Mission Statement:
In support of military readiness, DoD PARC strives to sustain amphibian and reptile populations and habitats through proactive environmental stewardship, conservation, outreach, and partnerships. John Jensen Brad Glorioso

6 What DoD PARC Can Do For You
Review DoD Legacy, SERDP, ESTCP or other research proposals In-house herpetofauna surveys with reimbursable funding Review scopes of work for contract actions Review of INRMP sections pertaining to herpetofauna Review or update herpetofauna species lists Provide technical information on survey techniques Develop educational materials (pamphlets, posters, signs)

9 DoD Snake Fungal Disease Survey
DoD Legacy Funded Project Project goal: provide information on the distribution and snake species affected by Ophidiomyces fungus Samples collected nationwide Goal is 45 samples per installation, but that is a soft target Samples collected March-October 2018 We will provide swabbing supplies/shipping materials
