Accreditation Pacific Oaks College is accredited by the Accrediting Commission for Senior Colleges and Universities of the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC). The WASC Senior College and University Commission (WSCUC) is one of six regional associations that accredit public and private schools, colleges, and universities in the United States.

Pacific Oaks College Information Session Learning Modalities & Locations Pacific Oaks College offers degree programs in multiple formats* to best fit our students’ needs: On-campus Online Our on-campus programs are available at a variety of convenient locations including: Northern California San Jose Campus Instructional Sites Off-Site Cohorts Southern California Pasadena Campus *Not all programs are available in both formats. Please check the Academic Catalog for information on modalities and specific programs.

7 What is an Off-Site Cohort?
Pacific Oaks College Information Session What is an Off-Site Cohort? A group of students who are pursuing the same academic program at an established off-campus location. Cohort students progress through their program together as a group Cohorts range from 15 to 22 students* The courses are pre-set and must be taken in order Students are not required to come to campus for classes Cohort classes are typically held two nights per week in the evenings, but some programs may include weekend classes Students have access to all on-campus resources at any time, including orientation sessions *A minimum number of students must be enrolled for an off-site cohort to begin.

Pacific Oaks College Information Session School of Human Development Emphasizing a comprehensive, interdisciplinary understanding of human development from birth through the latter part of life, programs in Pacific Oaks’ School of Human Development focus on the biological, psychological, emotional, and sociological factors that contribute to an individual’s development. Students will develop the skills to work in a wide range of settings. Many apply their knowledge in serving their communities by putting their degrees to work in social service, nonprofit work, health care, and education. “We try to make sure that all content is seen through a variety of lenses so that everybody’s voice can be heard.” -Dr. Donald Grant, Associate Dean, School of Human Development

Pacific Oaks College Information Session School of Human Development Bachelor’s completion in Human Development Minimum of 33 required units (11 courses, see final course sequence for details) 5 semesters Fieldwork required Capstone project required PLA (Prior Learning Assessment) is available Concentrations available: Early Childhood Education & Development Master’s in Human Development 30 required units (10 courses) 5 semesters Fieldwork required Thesis required Concentrations available: Leadership in Education & Human Services

10 Credit For Learning From Experience (CLE)
Pacific Oaks College Information Session Credit For Learning From Experience (CLE) Students who qualify to participate in CLE will use written assignments to create a portfolio demonstrating knowledge and skills gained through practical experience and how it relates to their field of study. Earn up to 27 units towards B.A.-completion in Human Development Earn up to 21 units towards B.A.-completion in Early Childhood Education Students must have a minimum of 5 years of relevant, verifiable work/volunteer experience in a human services, education or related field Based on portfolio created in first semester Reviewed and approved by CLE committee Additional course fees apply

Pacific Oaks College Information Session Eligibility Requirements BA-completion program: AA or AS degree from a regionally accredited institution OR 60 transferable units from a regionally accredited institution* (provisional acceptance may be considered with general education courses completed) MA program: Bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited institution OR US equivalent of a Bachelor’s degree from a foreign institution (with NACES approved evaluation) *Please speak with an Enrollment Counselor directly to determine your eligibility based on our transfer policies.

Tuition & Fees Program Description Cost Per Unit Total Number of Units Total Baseline Cost* Bachelor’s program $781 $25,773 - $28,116 Master’s program $1,056 $31,680 – $67,584 Other expenses and fees, such as books and mandatory student fees, should be anticipated in addition to the baseline tuition cost. Tuition is charged per semester, and is based on the number of units the student is registered for. *The tuition rates listed here are the baseline tuition rates. Some classes may require additional fees not listed. Books, supplies, and living expenses are not accounted for. **Tuition rates are subject to change for academic year.
