2 Vocabulary Coordinate Plane- A grid that is formed when two number lines intersect. Quadrant – The two number lines separate the coordinate plane into four regions called quadrants.

4 Vocabulary Ordered Pair – A pair of numbers, such as (-3, 2), used to locate a point in the coordinate plane. (-3, 2) x-coordinate y-coordinate

5 When you graph a point on the coordinate plane, you go left-right first. Then you go up-down. Plot the point (-3, 2) *Go left to -3. Then up to 2. Plot your point. What quadrant is point (-3, 2) located in?
