3 Evaluate the strengths and challenges on their campuses related to social justice and the impacts on students in transition Identify specific ways that campus climate can impact a new student’s initial transition to college using several transition frameworks/conceptual models Engage in discussion on the challenges related to welcoming and supporting new students amidst racial and political tensions and campus climate issues Leave the session with tangible resources for future reference, including a Black Lives Matter reading list and orientation programming examples Learning Outcomes

ED. in Higher Education Administration, University of Massachusetts Amherst working on Ph. D. in Educational Policy & Research Analysis, North Carolina State University
