1. Current Project Implementation
Current implementation projects are focused on priority areas as well as fire restoration, and infrastructure & community defense.
Implementation work can take 1-5 years or more, depending on the type of restoration treatments.
Stewardship contracts & agreements can utilize forest product values to accomplish restoration treatments.

2. Tahoe National Forest 10-Year Restoration Priority Watershed Areas
Emphasis on headwaters of principal watersheds, stemming from the pacific crest, contributing to water supplies.
Partnerships across multiple jurisdictions and ownerships to accomplish mutually beneficial restoration.
Pilot innovative approaches for funding, staffing, and investing to increase restoration over larger landscapes.

3. 5 Year Project Planning
Current planning projects are focused on the priority areas.
Planning will be completed in 2018 for the following:
French Meadow
Big Jack East
Yuba

4. Combined Project Implementation & Planning
Other on-going efforts on the forest include:
Amending the forest plan to allow for more managed fire.
Partnering with local tribes, e.g. Mooretown Rancheria.
Partnering with SNC, NFF, TNC, Counties, FSC, FPD/FDs, & SFL.
Hazard tree permitting with CALTRANS and Utilities (PG&E).
