2 川 菜 Chuan Cai is one of the eight food Styles in chinese culture. Chuan Cai has First and fourth Tone on the two a’s.

3 Geographic Location Chuan cai was created in Sichuan
located in the southwest area of China. It is a very humid place.

4 Style of food Chuan Cai’s flavors are very la 辣 spicy ,ma 麻 numbing, xian咸 salty, tian 甜 sweet , suan 酸 sour , and xiang 香fragrant. Most dishes are spicy and numbing.

5 Famous dish Chuan Cai’s famous dish is 怪味鸡 块 Guai wei ji kuai, it means Strange chicken chunks.

6 Main Ingredients Most of the dishes have Peppers 辣 椒 la Jiao and Meat 肉 rou in them . They use garlic, peppers and the Sichuan pepper. They use more beef than any other province in china because of the great amount of oxen. They also use bovine and porcine organs in their cooking.

7 Preparation technique
Sichuan cooking uses a lot of stir frying, steaming, and braising.
