2. 1 Make a joyful shout to the LORD, all you lands!
2 Serve the LORD with gladness; Come before His presence with singing.
3 Know that the LORD, He is God; It is He who has made us, and not we ourselves; We are His people and the sheep of His pasture.
4 Enter into His gates with thanksgiving, And into His courts with praise. Be thankful to Him, and bless His name.

Misunderstandings about worship
Physical presence is worship
Participation is optional
Participation is primarily external
It is a chore, it is a burden, it is boring
Understanding God’s plan for worship
It obviously involves truth
It must involve my spirit and His
It is proskuneo—look at the Greek
It involves joy!

Joy is always found in worship
Joy in heaven
Joy among the saved, His saints
Joy visible to visitors

5. Enjoying Worship Looking upward—Isaiah 6; Rev. 4-5 = JOY
Looking outward = JOY
We pray together
We sing together
We commune together
We give together—2 Cor. 9:11
We “Heb. 10:23-25” together
Looking inward = JOY
He accepts me! -- Luke 18:10-14; James 2:2-6
He accepts my (worthless) worship

6. Becoming a Child Worshiping God

Repent Acts 17:30
Confess Faith Rom. 10:10
Be Baptized Into Him Gal. 3:27
Added to His church, His body, His kingdom
