CONCLUSION A teaching and learning unit is helpful to all staff and students in the execution of the mission of the institution. RECOMMENDATION Articulate a clear philosophy of teaching. Formulate a mission that is linked to the institution’s vision and mission. Structure the Unit in accordance with available budgetary allocation and needs of the institution. Select staff with the best fit. These individuals should be able to work in teams; believe in the growth of others; believe in group vision and be assertive in putting ideas forward.
