23 EAS IV Repository Universe
Contains 25 Classes – logical groupings of specific data elements or “Objects” Queries are constructed by selecting Objects from valid Class combinations

24 EAS IV Repository Universe
Compatible Class Combinations X’s in the matrix indicate compatible classes – your queries can contain objects from compatible classes only Y’s identify principal classes – you must select objects from the principal class first, followed by other compatible classes

25 Class 01: Location Class 01 can be used with all other EAS IV Classes except 11 – MTF ASD table Can be used to define scope All values are categorical, no quantitative data included “Child” or “Reporting” facility information HS Region is mapped by Reporting DMIS ID, not Parent DMIS ID as in MEQS Service-specific facility groups

26 Class 02: Load Status Class 02 can only be used with Class 01
Data load dates by Parent Facility and fiscal month All values are categorical, no quantitative data included Data load dates by fiscal month (01 – 12) Data Load Status Codes: C - Completed Successfully More detailed EAS IV data load information is available in Class 23

27 Hands-on Application Exercise 1

28 Exercise 1: Challenge Produce a report listing the EAS IV Repository data load status for Fiscal Year 2005 for Army MTFs in the North Atlantic Region Medical Command. Hint: MTF’s should have already submitted FM09 (June) data.

54 Additional Challenge (if time permits)
Go to Edit Provider and change Exercise 4 by adding FY 04 and Parent DMIS ID 0037 Walter Reed and 0029 NMC San Diego. RUN it. Go to Slice and Dice. Keep only Total Visits and place PDMIS on top so data is side by side. Show top 3 ranking of 3rd Level FCC. Take ranking off 3rd Level FCC and practice Breaks. Put a Break on PDMIS and show different options. Show SUM calculation on Total Visits and how the order of the icons matter.
