2 Disabling Windows Account in (Windows 7)
Open Control Panel. Under User Account and Family settings click on the "Add or remove user account".

Click on one of the user accounts, for example you can use the Guest account. Under the user account click on the "Go to the main User Account page" link.

4 Disabling Windows Account in (Windows 7)
Under "Make changes to your user account" click on the "Change security settings" link.

5 Disabling Windows Account in (Windows 7)
In the "Turn on User Account Control (UAC) to make your computer more secure" click to unselect the "Use User Account Control (UAC) to help protect your computer". Click on the Ok button.

7 Taking Ownership navigate to that specific folder
right click on it and select Properties. Prepared by Imtithal Alnour Saeed

8 Taking Ownership go to the Security tab and click on Advanced.

9 Taking Ownership go to the Owner tab.(you will see the current owner of the folder) If your user is not the owner, click on Edit. If you have User Account Control enabled, press on OK. Prepared by Imtithal Alnour Saeed

10 Taking Ownership In the Owner window, click on Other users or groups.

11 Taking Ownership Now you need to type the user name or the group of users that will take ownership of the selected folder. If you type "Administrators" you will give ownership to all the users that are administrators on your PC. If you want to give ownership only to your user, then type your user name. 13 Taking Ownership If the user or group was found on your computer, you will see that the text you typed was changed to [Your PC Name]\[User] or [Your PC Name]\[Group]. If so, press on OK. Prepared by Imtithal Alnour Saeed

14 Taking Ownership If the user/group was not found you will receive a Name Not Found error window. Make the necessary corrections and try again. Prepared by Imtithal Alnour Saeed

15 Taking Ownership In the Owner window, select the user/group you just added, select Replace owner on subcontainers and objects and press OK. Prepared by Imtithal Alnour Saeed

16 Taking Ownership Now you will receive the confirmation that you have taken ownership of the folder. Press on OK and that's it. Prepared by Imtithal Alnour Saeed

17 Changing Permissions In the Properties window for the last folder go to the Security tab and click on Edit. Prepared by Imtithal Alnour Saeed

18 Changing Permissions If you are not on the list of users or groups that have permissions defined, you should click on Add. If your user or group is on that list, select it, click on Allow Full Control and then press OK. Prepared by Imtithal Alnour Saeed

19 Changing Permissions Now you need to type the user name or the group of users for which you want to change the permissions. If you type "Administrators" you will give permissions to all the users that are administrators on your PC. If you want to give permissions only to your user, then type your user name.
