2. La Tour Eiffel
Built by Gustave Eiffel’s company for the 1889 World’s Fair to celebrate 100th anniversary of French Revolution, the Eiffel Tour is Paris’ most recognizable monument many regarded the massive iron structure with skepticism. Today, the Eiffel Tower, which continues to serve an important role in television and radio broadcasts, is considered an architectural wonder and attracts more visitors than any other paid tourist attraction in the world. It is located on the Champs-de-Mars.

3. Les Champs Elysées
This impressive promenade stretches from the Place the la Concorde to the Place Charles de Gaulle, the site of theArc de Triomphe. At its western end the Champs-Elysées is bordered by cinemas, theaters, cafés and luxury shops. It is used for celebrations and national events.

4. L’Arc de Triomphe
The arch was commissioned by Napoleon in 1806 to commemorate his victories, but he was ousted before the arch was completed. In fact, it wasn't completed until 1836 during the reign of Louis-Philippe. The Arc de Triomphe is engraved with names of generals who commanded French troops during Napoleon's regime.
The design of the arch by Jean Chalgrin is based on the Arch of Titus in Rome. 

5. La Cathédrale de Notre Dame
The site of the Notre dame is the cradle of Paris and has always been the religious center of the city.  The gothic masterpiece is located on the Île de la Cité, a small island in the heart of the city. It became the prototype for future cathedrals in France.

6. Le Louvre
The Louvre Museum is one of the largest and most important museums in the world. It is housed in the expansive Louvre Palace, situated in the 1st arrondissement, at the heart of Paris. The collection of the Louvre Museum was first established in the 16th century as the private collection of King Francis I. One of the works of art he purchased was the now famous Mona Lisa painting. The collection grew steadily thanks to donations and purchases by the kings. In 1793, during the French Revolution, the Louvre became a national art museum and the private royal collection opened to the public.

La Seine – France’s 2nd longest river (485 mi. long) River that runs from Burgandy through the heart of Paris. In Paris, narrowed between high stone embankments, the river carries commercial barges, waterbuses and large tourist boats (bateaux-mouches). From the water, fine views are seen of the Cathedral of Notre Dame, the Louvre, the Musée d'Orsay (housing Paris' collection of Impressionist art), the Conciergerie and the Eiffel Tower.

11. Le Sacré Coeur
The Basilica of the Sacred Heart of Paris, commonly known as Sacré-Cœur Basilica (French: Basilique du Sacré-Cœur, pronounced [sakʁe kœʁ]), is a Roman Catholic church and minor basilica, dedicated to the Sacred Heart of Jesus, in Paris, France. The Sacré-Cœur Basilica was designed by Paul Abadie. Situated twenty metres below ground, the ossuary contains the remains of approximately six million Parisians, transferred there gradually between the late eighteenth and mid-nineteenth centuries as graveyards were being closed because of the risk they posed to public health. The first of these was the cimetière des Innocents graveyard in 1786 in what is now the district of Les Halle.

Created by Renzo Piano and Gianfranco Franchini. They created a unique architectural structure by creating a e huge uncluttered space inside by moving all the service sections outside of the building –elevators, stairs, water and air ducts, escalators are all outside.  The Library has an impressive collection of 450,000 books.
