2 The police can't do it alone
OPS work in partnership with the community to ensure that people's rights, lives and property are safe and secure.

3 Recent major Incidents in the Findlay Creek area:
Call #: January 19th, 2018 Robbery / Firearm discharge – Currently under investigation by the OPS Guns and Gangs section.

4 Street and Gang Violence:
The OPS considers any level of gun or street violence unacceptable. The Ottawa Police Service is one of 21 partner agencies that have developed and are actively working on the Ottawa Street Violence and Gang Strategy. Four Pillars: Neighbourhood Cohesion, Prevention, Intervention, Enforcement and Suppression. The vast majority of street violence and gang activity relates back to illicit profit. Most shootings are targeted, meaning the suspect(s) and victim(s) know each other on some level. There are identified gangs and persons of interest to the Guns and Gangs section who reside in almost all communities in Ottawa.
