1 Is it right for a Christian?
Cremation of the Body ! A Choice Many Around The World Are Making? Is it right for a Christian?

2 Why Talk About Such A Strange Topic?
I opened the door At first I was speechless Then I realized that there might be some questions that need answering So I began my search for both questions and answers

3 1. What is it? Around the world, most funerals are followed by cremation of the deceased but in the US only about 1 of 7, but the number is growing. Cremation is the heating of the body over a couple of hours until it is literally cooked down to bones under intense heat at 1400 to 2100 degrees Here are a few examples of these chambers

9 Why burn someone’s body to their bones and ashes?
I talked to one of our local funeral homes and they said it was just personal preference It cost about $ for cremation which is cheaper than a funeral but you don’t have a service usually. Not looking at the same thing without a Funeral, as it takes a lot of work to have a funeral service

10 What is required to be cremated?
Death Certificates Some states require permits Some states allow you to be present at the cremation After cremation, the bones must be placed in a cremulator to grind it up to ashes Cremation Urn is required $200-$1500 & up Some go to great lengths to scatter the ashes and some do not, some place them in a private mausoleum or cemetery or in a cemetery columbarium

11 Is it wrong to be cremated?
Some people frown on cremation and some religious groups ban the process outright because they consider it destruction of the body. Keep in mind, matter can neither be created or destroyed only converted from one form to another To some, cremation is transformation not destruction as it is impossible for man to do

12 What does the Bible teach us about all this?
Gen 3:19 In the sweat of thy face shalt thou eat bread, till thou return unto the ground; for out of it wast thou taken: for dust thou art, and unto dust shalt thou return.

13 Where is the sting of death?
1 Cor 15:54-55 So when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and this mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory.55 O death, where is thy sting? O grave, where is thy victory? 56 The sting of death is sin; and the strength of sin is the law.

14 Everyone will face death?
2 Cor 1:9-10 But we had the sentence of death in ourselves, that we should not trust in ourselves, but in God which raiseth the dead:10 Who delivered us from so great a death, and doth deliver: in whom we trust that he will yet deliver us;

15 All in the graves will be brought forth
John 5:28-29 Marvel not at this: for the hour is coming, in the which all that are in the graves shall hear his voice, 29 And shall come forth; they that have done good, unto the resurrection of life; and they that have done evil, unto the resurrection of damnation

16 We will give an account of ourselves to God
Rom 14:11-12 For it is written, As I live, saith the Lord, every knee shall bow to me, and every tongue shall confess to God.12 So then every one of us shall give account of himself to God.

17 Work out your salvation!
Phil 2:10-12 That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth;11 And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.12 Wherefore, my beloved, as ye have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling.

18 It is appointed! Heb 9:27 And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment: Heb 10:27 But a certain fearful looking for of judgment and fiery indignation, which shall devour the adversaries.

19 One day the time will come for judgment !
1 Peter 4:17-19 For the time is come that judgment must begin at the house of God: and if it first begin at us, what shall the end be of them that obey not the gospel of God?18 And if the righteous scarcely be saved, where shall the ungodly and the sinner appear?19 Wherefore let them that suffer according to the will of God commit the keeping of their souls to him in well doing, as unto a faithful Creator.
