2 ILLEGAL GAMBLING STANDING
An illegal gambling activity refers to any illegal gambling conducted, without a valid license or permit within any place other than a casino or licensed premises established for the purpose of gambling. Illegal gambling in general have been identified as a huge parasite to any economy of a country in the world.

3 RSA CONSTITUTION: INVESTIGATING MANDATE
Section 205(3) of the Constitution of RSA, the objectives of SAPS are to: Prevent, Combat and Investigate crime.

4 POLICE ACT (68 of 1995) Section 16, mandates national prevention and investigation of crime. Investigation of all forms of crimes classified as organised crime, in terms of the Prevention of Organised Crime Act, which are: Money laundering, racketeering, Criminal gang activities and proceed of crime.

5 NATIONAL CRIME PREVENTION STRATEGY (NCPS): VISION
To create an effective and integrated criminal justice system, by mobilising: Department of Justice, Correctional Services, Welfare, Education, Transport, Public Service and Administration, etc.

6 PLA: DEPENDANSIES IN TERMS OF INVESTIGATION OF CRIME
SOUTH AFRICAN POLICE SERVICES Mandated to investigate through the constitution of RSA, Police Act (Act No. 68 of 1995); and The Criminal Procedure Act (Act. No. 51 of 1977). NATIONAL PROSECUTING AUTHORITY Mandate to prosecute through the Department of Justice & Constitutional Development.

DEPARTMENTS OF Labour, Home Affairs, Receiver of Revenue Services (SARS).

8 SAPS: CURRENT STATUS Prioritisation of crime in South Africa,
Between serious, trio crimes and minor crime, Trio crimes include: Cash in transit, ATM grinding incidents, Burglary businesses, house robbery, car hijacking, etc.

9 PLA: CURRENT STATUS Illegal gambling in the form of: Fahfee,
Illegal horse racing, Illegal gambling machines, Illegal online gambling or server based, Cards and dice.

10 PLA: WAY FORWARD To liaise with Government through SAPS to prioritise illegal gambling, To liaise with Dept. of Labour to ensure registration of employees, To liaise with Dept. of Home Affairs to ensure proper registration of foreign nationals employees.

11 CONCLUSION Illegal gambling is a national disaster.
Tax evasion, illegal gambling operators does not contribute to the economy of RSA. Does not adheres to the gambling rules and regulations of RSA. Possible terror financing. Irresponsible gambling.
