9 Talent Development, Retention & Attraction
What did 417 Noble County residents say in a 2018 online survey? Noble County should emphasize that it is a quiet, peaceful, family friendly, safe and economical place to live with plenty of lakes. Noble County needs more cultural and social activities, quality affordable housing, higher wages, improved internet accessibility, better restaurants and educational systems, expanded job diversity, and fewer drug problems.

10 Regarding Housing A Purdue Center for Regional Development study concluded: Local leaders need to consider how to reduce the cost burden for households; this may mean taking a hard look at ways to improve wages/salaries of local workers and/or add more affordable rental units. Local leaders need to tackle 21st century housing needs; more than half of the housing units in town are made up of single-parent- headed or non-family households. Forty percent of all housing units were built before (This may deter millennials from working and settling in Albion.)
