1 R2 Things To Do

2 In a previous presentation we reviewed the things R2 needs to do prior to the start of the match. See Pre-Match Preparation on the SCOAonline website

3 The teams are now on the court and ready for you to check to see that they are in the correct serving order Leave the ball at the scorer table. Standing at the sideline off the court, check the receiving team’s lineup first using your personal line up card. Authorize the Libero to exchange onto the court if she wants and have the captain raise her hand to acknowledge her role to the R1. Move to the other side of the net and do the same for the serving team. Return to the table, retrieve the ball and roll it to the 1st server.

Check the receiving team to see that they are in the proper rotation Notice that you are not responsible for knowing who the next server is, how many timeouts have been taken and where the Libero is entering in and our of the match. That is the scorer’s & assistant scorer’s responsibility

19 Since the player you need to best keep track of is the setter, you need to know who the setter is, where she is (front or back row) and who the next 2 player are in rotational order.
