Live Big® It’s about the size of your life, not the size of your wallet®
Live Big® Map “Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous? Actually, who are you not to be? Your playing small does not serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that others won’t feel insecure around you. We are all meant to shine. And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give others permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others.” -Marianne Williamson Envision your exquisite, fulfilling life. Harness your resources to achieve that vision. At Yeske Buie, that’s what we’re all about. Money, however hard earned, is a renewable resource. At Yeske Buie we help our clients make the most of their most valuable resource, life. Our clients are looking for something beyond ordinary financial planning and investment advice. They share a compelling desire to live an extraordinary life. It is up to you to define your Live Big life; we’re here to help make it possible. We’re great people to think with. We’re here to help you explore life’s possibilities. This requires thinking far beyond risk analysis, model portfolios and financial planning strategies. It requires personal, innovative relationships centered on a singular priority: helping you live your biggest, best life.

Financial Planning for Generations Money Savvy Pig, Cash Cache, WSJ Guide
Live Big® Map To encourage financial education right from the beginning, we mail Money Savvy Pigs to clients with kids and/or grandkids under age In addition, we mail a Cash Cache to kids over age 10. The Cash Cache is a personal finance binder that includes a mini Live Big map (with quick tips to Save First, Spend Wisely, and Be Smart), an introduction to financial management pamphlet, pouches to Save/Invest/Spend/Donate, and sheets to track financial goals. Once they finish college, we send the “The Wall Street Journal’s Guide to Starting Your Financial Life” – a comprehensive guide to managing your money as you make the transition to being on your own.
12
Financial Planning for Generations Financial Planning Policies
Live Big® Map For kids and/or grandkids who have entered the workforce, we recommend a framework known as our Financial Planning Policies. These policies are geared towards establishing a foundation of solid financial hygiene and creating a sustainable spending/savings path with clearly defined financial goals.
13
Financial Planning Safe Spending System
Live Big® Map We utilize a scientifically-based system for starting and maintaining a safe and sustainable spending path in retirement. The Safe Spending System answers the following questions: “How much income can I safely withdraw from my portfolio?” “How will I know if I’m heading for trouble?” “What steps are needed to get back on track if I find myself heading for trouble?”
14
YeBu® Investment Approach
Asset Allocation Next Live Big® Map The returns to a portfolio will be more influenced the particular mix of investment classes than by any other single factor. A study by Brinson, Hood, and Beebower showed that 94% of the variation of returns among institutional portfolios could be attributed to the asset allocation decision, while 4% was attributable to individual security selection, and 2% to market timing decisions. Asset class categories consist of things like money markets, bonds, domestic large company stocks, domestic small company stocks, international large and small company stocks, real estate securities, and emerging market securities, among others. When we develop your investment policy, it includes specific targets for each of these categories.
15
YeBu® Investment Approach
Stable Reserve Next Live Big® Map Our bond allocation is designed to be the “stable reserve” within the portfolio. We work along several dimensions to minimize macroeconomic risks. Stable reserve optimization occurs through the following risk lever adjustments: Investing in bonds with maturities with less than 5 years. Investing in bonds that have a low correlation to equities. Investing in bonds that are investment grade. Utilizing a global strategy that hedges all currencies. Maturity Year 0 Year 5 Year 10 15
16
YeBu® Investment Approach
Value Criteria Next Live Big® Map Numerous studies have demonstrated that stocks trading at low multiples of their book value per share offer higher returns in the long run. If one particular market segment is to be favored over another, therefore, it makes sense to overweight value stocks over so-called growth stocks (i.e. low price-to-book ratio stocks versus high price-to-book ratio stocks). We also dollar-diversify by selecting only unhedged stock portfolios for our international allocations. Fully half of the stocks in any of our portfolios are in non-dollar-denominated assets.
17
YeBu® Investment Approach
Size Criteria Next Live Big® Map It has also been demonstrated that the size of a company influences its expected return, with smaller companies offering higher returns than larger companies over the long run. A well-diversified portfolio will have a significant allocation to smaller-company stocks.
18
YeBu® Investment Approach
Fees and Expenses Next Live Big® Map The future returns to any individual investment, or asset class, are not under our control. We can, however, exert prior control over the degree to which those returns are reduced by ongoing fees and expenses. Investments with low ongoing expense ratios, therefore, should be favored over investments with relatively high expense ratios, without regard to whether or not the investment vehicle was able to overcome its high expenses in the past. Access to Dimensional Fund Advisors (DFA) DFA manages a variety of mutual funds that are only available to institutional investors. We chose DFA funds for a variety of reasons with the most pronounced one to be their shared investment philosophy that tilts towards small cap and value investing. Also, the inexpensive fees and transaction costs make DFA a cost-efficient investment vehicle. DIMENSIONAL TRADITIONAL ACTIVE MANAGEMENT INDEX MANAGEMENT Believes that, in liquid markets, prices reflect all available information Attempts to identify mispricing in securities on a consistent basis Allows commercial benchmarks to define strategy Focuses strategies on the dimensions of higher expected returns Often relies on forecasting techniques to pick securities and/or time markets Tethered to a benchmark, reducing flexibility Seeks to add value through portfolio design and implementation Generates higher expenses, trading costs, and excess risk Accepts lower returns and increased trading costs in favor of tracking
19
Opportunistic Rebalancing
YeBu® Investment Approach Opportunistic Rebalancing Next Live Big® Map Our rebalancing policies help to reduce risk and increase returns by capturing periodic buy-low/sell-high opportunities. We frequently look at all of our portfolios, but will only consider rebalancing if 20% of the position is over or under the target percentage (unless cash is needed). It is through a disciplined approach to rebalancing that we can capture the full benefits of diversification.

Financial Planning (Page 1 of 2)
FAQ Financial Planning (Page 1 of 2) Page 2 What information do you need from me? Is it all necessary? Our Confidential Client Questionnaire, which you should have received with our initial information (please let us know if you need another copy), has a list of all of the information we need. The more we know, the better able we are to complete paperwork on your behalf, to determine what areas of your financial plan need to be addressed, and to make accurate decisions about the financial implications of a decision you are thinking about pursuing. What can I expect my meeting timeline to look like? Your exact meeting timeline will depend on your situation, availability, and preference for in-office or virtual meetings. The following is an example of what your meeting timeline may look like: 1st meeting – Initial Interview – Within one to two weeks after initial contact 2nd meeting – Discovery Meeting – Within two to four weeks after your Initial Interview 3rd meeting – Client Private Page® Intro via GoToMeeting – Within one to two weeks after your Discovery Meeting 4th meeting – Initial Plan Presentation – Within two to four weeks after your Discovery Meeting depending on the timing of gathering your relevant financial information Ongoing – Annual Update Meeting – Each year on your Annual Update month How long does the initial planning and implementation process typically take? This will depend on your situation including how readily you can gather your relevant financial information, the scheduling of meetings and the types of assets and accounts you are transferring. If you have a specific timeframe in mind, please share that with us so that we can discuss what will need to happen to meet that timeframe. How often will Yeske Buie meet with me after the initial planning process? We can schedule a meeting at any point, but we would prefer to meet at least on an annual basis.

We will meet at least annually to review your finances, and speak or meet at any other time if you have anything to share or speak with us about. Does Yeske Buie offer continuous, on-going advice regarding my financial situation and any issues that may arise during our relationship? Yes, we will provide a comprehensive analysis of your financial situation, the scope of which will be determined by your individual needs and the information you provide. We will continue to review your situation on an ongoing basis. What qualifications do you require of your financial planners? Each of our financial planners must have a Bachelor’s Degree, generally in financial planning, and must eventually achieve a Master’s Degree. Schwab FAQ Who will take custody of, or have access to my assets?
Charles Schwab & Co. is the custodian we work with and they will take custody of the assets you transfer to our management. Why do you use Schwab? Of the many custodians available to us, Schwab offers, in our opinion, the best blend of security, safety, and low-cost features. How do I deposit/withdraw cash into/from my Schwab account? There are four ways to transfer cash into and out of your Schwab account(s): Check – Address the check to “Charles Schwab & Co. FBO Your Name/Account Name Account #XXXX-XXXX”. Mail the check(s) to either office and we will make sure it is deposited to Schwab and invested in a timely fashion. Wire – There is no fee for incoming wires at Schwab, but there is a $25 fee for outgoing wires. This will require paperwork, but can be processed same-day if received by 11am PT/2pm ET. MoneyLink® – This will take up to a week to set up initially, but once it is in place, we can make transfers between your Schwab accounts and outside bank accounts that will be processed within a day or two of your request. Cash deposit to a Schwab branch – Let us know if you plan to stop at a Schwab Bank branch so we can make sure the deposit is handled in a timely fashion. What is the average time it takes for paperwork to be completed? This will depend on the type of paperwork and when we receive it from you. Generally, paperwork such as a Change of Address form or a Wire Request form can be processed the same day if all the information is correct and we receive it in the earlier half of the day. MoneyLink® and IRA distribution forms will take a few days to process for the initial set-up. Paperwork that requires notarization and supporting documentation to be sent to Schwab via regular mail will take several days to a week to process.
