2 new surveys Surveys works with BHO Beautemps-Beaupré between June and September 2017 mainly in Mayotte and Iles Glorieuses Limited surveys in La Réunion and in the vicinity of Tromelin

3 Survey plan Hydrographic vessel Beautemps-Beaupré will be deployed in the Indian Ocean in 2019 Survey work within SAIHC region will be focused around Madagascar (subject to the necessary authorizations) Travaux programmés en 2019 : Fort-Dauphin, Tuléar et Nosy Bé. Training opportunities on board (although very limited due to the lack of free seats on board).

2 new INT charts published since the last conference INT7064 (FR7489) Approches Sud-Est de Madagascar INT7724 (FR7684) Approches de Mahajanga (Madagascar) INT7062 (FR7487) Approches Nord-Est de Madagascar schemed, to be published by 2020 Printer of some INT Charts produced by INHO: INT7739 (IN2514) Approaches to Port Louis INT7737 (IN2527) Mauritius Bilateral arrangement was established between the Government of India and the Shom for the exchange and reproduction of nautical products. Shom became a printer of the INT7739 (IN2514), covering Port Louis and its approaches, and INT7737 (IN2527) covering Mauritius Island.

6 Publications All nautical publications are available in digital format only (pdf files) on Shom’s online shop (diffusion.shom.fr) Publications are updated weekly in accordance with the Shom Notices to Mariners

9 Capacity building IMO Audit process (SAIHC14 Actions 5 & 6)
Shom proposed Madagascar to share the relevant conclusions and recommendations regarding hydrographic services of the IMO audit conducted in October 2017 Shom proposed assistance to the Union of Comoros to complete the pre-audit questionnaire regarding hydrographic services (Annex 3 of the Auditor’s manual for IMSAS – Circular Letter N° 3425 / MSC 81/24/4) in preparation for the audit scheduled for March 2019 On-site / On-board training Training opportunities during the planned deployment of BHO Beautemps-Beaupré in Madagascar (June-August 2019) subject to confirmation of the survey campaign (pending Madagascar agreement) On-site / on-board training (limited boarding capacity, however, given the number of seats available on board) : not included in the current CBWP for May require some funding to support trainees (travel, accommodation for on-site training during harbour surveys). Survey campaign need to be confirmed first.
