Proverbs 3:5–6 5 Trust in the Lord with all your heart And do not lean on your own understanding. 6 In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He will make your paths straight.

A Word About Resolutions
Whether you always make a resolution or never do, the implication is the same: resolutions – even the resolutions we keep – do not satisfy the longings of our soul.

To enjoy God’s best in 2017
28
To enjoy God’s best in 2017
29
1. We must trust Christ fully (5).
30
To trust is to throw one’s self down face first or “to lean with the whole body upon something, in order to rest upon it” (KD, 87).
31
The heart is the “totality of man’s inner or immaterial nature” (Harris, TWOT).
32
Understanding means perception, insight, or one’s ability to figure things out.
33
You can’t figure things out until you give up on you figuring things out.
34
Trusting the Lord means throwing out the back up plans and throwing yourself completely into Jesus, His mission, and His way of life.
35
Real trust leads to right action.
36
2. We must obey Him comprehensively (6).
37
The way we grow in our faith in God is by doing things that require us to have faith in God.
38
Just as we are commanded to trust into the Lord in v
Just as we are commanded to trust into the Lord in v. 5, we are commanded to acknowledge Him in all our ways in v. 6.
39
“It is not a mere theoretic acknowledgement that is meant, but earnest penetrating cognizance, engaging the whole man” (KD, 87).
40
Too often, when we say nothing is off the table, we do not examine what we know is on the table.

#33 To God Be the Glory
50
Great things He hath done
To God be the glory Great things He hath done So loved He the world That He gave us His Son
51
And opened the lifegate
Who yielded His life An atonement for sin And opened the lifegate That all may go in
52
Let the earth hear His voice!
Praise the Lord! Let the earth hear His voice! Let the people rejoice!
53
Great things He hath done
O come to the Father Through Jesus the Son And give Him the glory Great things He hath done
54
O perfect redemption The purchase of blood To every believer The promise of God
55
The vilest offender Who truly believes That moment from Jesus A pardon receives
56
Let the earth hear His voice!
Praise the Lord! Let the earth hear His voice! Let the people rejoice!
57
Great things He hath done
O come to the Father Through Jesus the Son And give Him the glory Great things He hath done
58
Great things He hath done And great our rejoicing
He hath taught us Great things He hath done And great our rejoicing Through Jesus the Son
59
But purer and higher And greater will be Our wonder, our victory When Jesus we see
60
Let the earth hear His voice!
Praise the Lord! Let the earth hear His voice! Let the people rejoice!

Cornerstone
78
My hope is built on nothing less Than Jesus' blood and righteousness
I dare not trust the sweetest frame But wholly trust in Jesus' Name
79
Weak made strong in the Savior's love Through the storm He is Lord
Christ alone Cornerstone Weak made strong in the Savior's love Through the storm He is Lord Lord of all
80
When darkness seems To hide His face
I rest on His unchanging grace In every high and stormy gale My anchor holds within the veil
81
He is Lord Lord of all
82
When He shall come With trumpet sound
Oh may I then in Him be found Dressed in His righteousness alone Faultless stand before the throne
83
Hallelujah To My King
84
O how strong The power of Jesus' name It is stronger than any other name How sweet the victory That bore my shame Took the burden of my sin away
85
Hallelujah what a Savior I owe everything to Him Hallelujah what a Savior Hallelujah to my King
86
O how great the kindness Our God has shown We were strangers Now we're called His own

Forever (We Sing Hallelujah)
129
The moon and stars they wept The morning sun was dead
The Savior of the world was fallen His body on the cross His blood poured out for us The weight of every curse upon Him
130
One final breath He gave As heaven looked away
The Son of God was laid in darkness A battle in the grave The war on death was waged The power of hell forever broken
131
The ground began to shake The stone was rolled away
His perfect love could not be overcome Now death where is your sting Our resurrected King Has rendered you defeated
132
Now forever He is glorified Forever He is lifted high
And forever He is risen He is alive - He is alive
133
We sing hallelujah The Lamb has overcome
134
And now, death, where is your sting? Our resurrected King has overcome
He's overcome
