Snowy Owl Facts Diet Snowy owls are carnivores so they eat meat. They mostly a rodent called lemmings. There like rodents but different . Snowy Owls look like big white owls. To tell which gender a female Snowy Owl has brown brackets on her back. And a male snowy owl is pure white depending on age. Also female snowy owls are bigger than males. Movement Snowy owls are a type of bird .Like all birds the snowy owl has wings. And most birds can fly so can the Snowy Owls! 4 Life Cycle Snowy owls are birds and most birds lay eggs snowy owls lay eggs to. The amount of baby’s depends on how much food they can get. The male hunts for the female. Then the female lays the eggs. A picture of the animal as a baby or young. When the eggs hatch the snowy owl looks grey. As the snowy owl grows it gets whiter. After 2 months it heads south for winter. After the winter it fly’s north to breed.
