The OpCon server resides on a Windows server and also requires SQL Server for the database.
Disaster Recovery protection is normally provided by a secondary server and a replicated database. The primary and secondary servers do not communicate with each other but the secondary is ready to take over at any point in time with zero data loss.

Good example here is European Investment Bank who now outsource Investment Banking IT to other banks using OpCon thus turning a cost centre into a profit centre!
This same bank had a problem with staff accessing reports by calling IT directly, they solved this by utilizing Self Service so users had a browser based button to request their authorised reports. Security improved dramatically, problem solved but they also noticed a reduction in calls to IT of 168k/year!
