Wards 21 & 22 have merged.
Positives from the coming together:
Less patient movement. Once admitted
the patient will stay unless they need
a speciality ward. This means a more comfortable, consistent stay and less noise.
More patients being seen in our new Ambulatory Care Unit, which could mean getting home quicker and fewer patients waiting for a bed.
Nurses do their documentation in the
bays using ‘mini stations, making them
more visible to patients and visitors.
Relatives calling the ward can be put
through to the nurse looking
after their loved one, as
nurses have mobiles
to use for this
purpose.

similar care or treatment?”
