4 Road to Zero Initiative Steering Committee
The composition of RTZ consists of a steering group made up of 16 voting members, plus the 3 US DOT agencies and NSC.

7 The Coalition membership stands at 300 members as of today, representing a variety of organizations
The largest numbers are from Associations, Advocacy Groups and Government.

8 Grants Safe System Innovation Grants $1M per year for 3 years (NHTSA)
Year one: NSC received 62 applications totaling $8M 7 grants awarded Grants are another path to facilitate the short term strategies needed to help get us to where we want to go. NHTSA is providing $1M for the next 3 years for Safe System Innovation Grants. Of the 62 applications totaling $8M, NSC awarded 7 projects with the $1M for the first year. The grants range from education, training, research and policy development and other evidence based safety measures.

9 Future Scenario The final path is the constructing of the Future Scenario Document.

10 What Can We Do Now Learn from others and replicate when possible
Develop flexible solutions to meet the needs of all populations Leverage new technologies when possible and double down on existing proven countermeasures Couple strong laws with high visibility enforcement Create a safety culture
