10 How Important Is Hunting to Arizona’s Economy?
Jobs and Tax Revenue Arizona hunters spend over $200 million dollars each year. The resulting economic impact translates to: Over 5,700 Arizona jobs $308 million in salaries and wages $42.5 million in Arizona sales, fuel and income taxes $592 million dollar ripple effect on the Arizona economy

11 Arizona Hunter Facts 148,000 Arizona residents are hunters
Annual spending by Arizona hunters equals 10 percent of the gross state product from hotels and lodging! Annual spending by Arizona hunters is 1/3 of the cash receipts from cattle production, the state's largest agricultural commodity. Each Arizona hunter spends an average of $1,380 dollars per year on trip-related expenses and gear.

12 Wildlife Conservation
Hunting licenses, tags, and stamps are the primary sources of funding for our state wildlife conservation efforts. By purchasing all required licenses, and paying federal excise taxes on hunting equipment and ammunition, Arizona hunters make a big contribution towards ensuring the future of many species of wildlife and habitat for the future.

13 Federal Excise Tax Through Pittman-Robertson dollars and by paying the Federal excise tax on hunting equipment, hunters are contributing hundreds of millions of dollars for conservation programs that benefit many wildlife species, both hunted and non- hunted. Some of those individuals and organizations that are trying to erode hunter rights in the name of special interests seem to ignore that hunter dollars pay for wildlife conservation.

14 $200 Million Dollars… Each year, nearly $200 million in hunters' federal excise taxes are distributed to State agencies to support wildlife management programs, the purchase of lands open to hunters, and hunter education and safety classes. Proceeds from the Federal Duck Stamp, a required purchase for migratory waterfowl hunters, have purchased more than 5 million acres of habitat.
