23 The numbers of the armed troops who came to David at Hebron to turn Saul's kingdom over to him, according to the LORD’S word, were as follows: 24 from Judah, 6,800 armed troops bearing shields and spear; 25 from Simeon…; 26 from Levi…; 29 from Benjamin…; 30 from Ephraim…; 25 from…Manasseh…; 32 from ISSACHAR, men who understood the times and knew what Israel should do…; 33 from Zebulun…; 34 from Naphtali…; 35 from Dan…; 36 from Asher…; 37 from Reuben, Gad…. 38 All these warriors, lined up in battle formation, came to Hebron fully determined to make David king over all Israel. All the rest of Israel was also of one mind to make David king. 1 Chronicles 12:23-38

3 When we, as Christ-followers, see things such as
injustice, racism, moral depravity, and poverty, we ought to feel anger and sadness. We ought to do something. But as Christians we should not be alarmed, afraid, or surprised. We must live with joy and trust.

that often happens naturally, based on what is happening.

that often happens naturally, based on what is happening. Joy is also a feeling of happiness that results from a thankful mindset – regardless of what is happening.

(Nehemiah 8:10)
