4 Guiding Principles Good classroom instruction
Educators are expected to remain current in effective teaching practices and learning theory Classroom teachers are expected to provide additional assistance to students who experience difficulties.

5 Guiding Principles Collaborative consultation and problem-solving approaches are seen as the most effective processes for resolving student learning and behaviour difficulties Classroom teachers are the educators who have primary responsibility for all students including those with exceptionalities (academic, social, emotional, developmental, and behavioural)

6 School-Based Student Services Team Meetings
Purpose/Goal Team approach to big picture issues Create awareness of district programs, support, school initiatives as they apply to Student Services and a Positive Learning Environment Communication of new programs, initiatives P.D. and In-Service Opportunities Review of school data that suggests Student Services areas for improvement (Guidance, Resource, PLE Initiatives, Discipline, etc.)
