10 FAO census projects The following Pacific countries benefited from FAO technical assistance through projects Country name Census year Project Title Cook Islands 2011 TCP/CKI/3302 (07/11/2011 – 31/12/2013) - Agricultural Census and Statistics. To strengthen the capability of the Cook Islands Government to develop a sustainable Food and Agriculture Statistics System. Fiji 2009 TCP/FIJ/3203 (24/06/2009 – 23/06/2011) - National agricultural Census. To conduct the 2009 NAC. FS Micronesia 2016/2017 TCP/MIC/3503 (04/09/ /08/2017) – National Agricultural Census to improved agricultural information to support in the development of evidence based policy that delivers better food security and income from agriculture Niue TCP/NIU/3301 (23/03/ 2010 – 31/072011) - TCP Facility – Assistance to the Processing of the Niue National Agricultural Census.

To establish a flow of relevant, reliable and timely data on agriculture and livestock.
