2 Indigenous Indigenous- The first people known to inhabit an area

3 Influence Influence- to have an effect on the character, development, or behavior of someone or something,

4 Bilingual Bilingual- a person fluent in two languages.

5 Constitution Constitution- The term constitution comes through French from the Latin word constitutio, used for regulations and orders, such as the imperial enactments

6 Sovereign Sovereign- a supreme ruler, especially a monarch.

7 Commonwealth Commonwealth-  is a traditional English term for a political community founded for the common good

8 Compromise Compromise- an agreement or a settlement of a dispute that is reached by each side making concessions

9 First Nations First Nations- are the various Aboriginal peoples in Canada who are neither Inuit nor Métis.

10 New France New France- New France was the area colonized by France in North America during a period beginning with the exploration of the Saint Lawrence River by Jacques Cartier in 1534 and ending with the cession of New France to Spain and Great Britain in 1763

11 Province Province- a principal administrative division of certain countries or empires

12 Dominion Dominion- the territory of a sovereign or government

13 Inuit Inuit-  are a group of culturally similar indigenous peoples inhabiting the Arctic regions of Greenland, Canada, and Alaska. Inuit is a plural noun; the singular is Inuk.

14 Igloo Igloo-  a shelter made of ice and snow

15 Northwest Passage Northwest Passage- The Northwest Passage is a sea route connecting the northern Atlantic and Pacific Oceans through the Arctic Ocean, along the northern coast of North America via waterways through the Canadian Arctic Archipelago.
