5 Plan Information Entry date for eligible employees
- 1 year of service and 21 years of age. Enrollment - Processed semi-annually (January 1 and July 1). SmartPlan tutorial will guide you through the enrollment process! Simply go to and click on the “First Time User” box on the left side of the screen. Your Social Security number without dashes will be your initial User ID and the month and day of your birthday (no year, MMDD) will be your initial password. Employee Contributions 1% – 100% pre-tax up to IRS limits (limit set yearly by IRS). Catch-up Contributions - Participants age 50 and older can contribute an additional amount (limit set yearly by the IRS). 5

Account Access Easy Three-Step Online Process to Enroll/Receive Recommendations Home Get Started Step 1 Confirm Your Information Step 2 Review Your Strategy Step 3 Finalize Your Strategy The interface is designed to be easy to use and you can receive personalized recommendations in an easy 3 step process. From the home page, simply click Start to get started. In the first step - Confirm Your Basic Data- you can confirm your information and make changes as necessary. In the second step – Review Your Strategy - you can receive an assessment of your overall strategy as well as the individual components of each strategy (goals, risk, savings, investments, and company stock). The assessment comes in the form of the unique Morningstar star rating in which the overall strategy and its components receive a star rating for the current strategy and proposed strategy. In the third step – Confirm and Finish - you will receive and confirm your investment recommendations and will be able to transmit your changes back to PNC.
