3. How can you enter?
Decide on whether you are going to perform solo, as a duet or as a group
It can be any one in SJS from Y3 – Y6
It can be a mixed group of different houses
It can be a minimum of 1 person and a maximum of people
Maximum of 3 minutes long

4. How can you enter? 2) Select your talent Singing Dancing Acting
Magic display
Acrobatics
Playing a musical instrument
Martial arts
Etc…

5. How can you enter? 3) Complete the entry form and video
Collect an entry form the Y6 stair well or Reception
Video record your entry and put onto a USB
Hand both the entry form and the video in an envelope into Miss Spencer by the deadline date
1x entry form per performance needed.

6. What Happens Next? Your videos and entry form will be judged by Miss
Spencer and all of the house captains.
They will choose 8 entries to go forward into the live
Performance.
The winning 8 will be invited to perform at the live show in July – date to be confirmed.
There will be four judges and a live audience who will
vote for their winning performance.

7. Points for your house And Prizes!
Every entry by video will earn 10 credits per person for
their house.
The final 8 going through to the live performance will
earn 20 credits per person for their house.
The winner of Shirley’s Got Talent will earn a
further 50 credits per person for their house.
They will also receive a fabulous collection of prizes!

8. House Captains Top Tips…
If you are working with someone else, make sure you will be able to practise with them outside school easily.
Rehearse your perfomrance before you record it.
Think of something original or an original way to showcase your talent. E.g don’t settle for standing in front of the camera and singing a song that everyone will choose and performing it ‘karaoke style’.
BE CREATIVE. BE ORIGINAL. BE DIFFERENT
