1 Making Grades Available: Individually or Altogether
A Washington State University Vancouver Blackboard guide

2 First method: Individually
Going through the assignments one at a time can be tedious. As opposed to tests, assignments are not in an all in one folder area. Thus you need to know where they are in your course in order to make the change. However, it does also let you check other setting that you might have missed. Once you have found the material, hover your mouse over the name. When you do a grey button will appear(        ), when you click on it, a drop down menu will appear. Click the “Edit” option found at the top of that menu. First, go to the area where the content that you are wanting to check is.

3 First method: continued...
After you have clicked the “Edit” button you will be brought to a page where you can edit functions of the assignment dealing with where/when it can viewed/accessed. In the Grading section of the page there will be an option for “Display of Grades” which you will want to click on. This will drop a menu you down with some options. Normally, the option to show the grade in the My Grades area is clicked. This is the area that allows students to see what they got for the assignment. Make sure to click “Submit” to save your changes.

4 Second method: All At Once
In the second method, we can do the same action but all at once. First you will want to navigate to your menu on the left side of the window and go to the Grade Center, once you’re there, a drop down menu will appear and you will want to click “Full Grade Center” Once you are in the Full Grade Center go to the Manage button located above the listed grades. A drop down menu will appear, you will want to click on “Column Organization”

5 Second method: continued...
Once you are in Column Organization, there will be two boxes. One for the items that are in the grading period and another that lists those that aren’t. There are checkboxes to the left of each item. You can do a bulk option, by checking all the boxes of the items you want. Then under the list there are three options, you will want to click the “Show Selected Columns in All Grade Center Views” which will place a record of the assignment in their My Grades as well as within the Grade Center. Click Submit once you’re done to save the changes
