The word “chivalry,” came from the word “horseman,” in other languages; such as:
Chevalier (French) Caballero (Spanish) Cavaliere (Italian)

Social Ladder Right after a lord of the land, came the knight.
The knight was trusted by the lord to protect his land at all costs.

Chivalric Orders Knights belonged to a multitude of specific Orders, each were for one purpose or another. Most orders emphasized components of: Piety Faith Humility Chastity Other Worthy Ideas

The Crusades From 1096 to 1270, were the crusades.
It was between the Muslims and Medieval England. They fought for Jerusalem, the holy land.

War Games After the Crusades, knights continued to show their skill as well as bravery in medieval tournaments; such as: jousting, blunt sword fighting, and archery.
