4 Calculations Create new columns that contain calculated fields based on existing data in the report. Arithmetic Operators Mathematical Functions String Functions Date Functions System Functions Special Fields* Arithmetic Operators – Plus, Minus, Multiply, and Divide Date Functions – Allow you to get date, date part Mathematical Functions – Allow you to get rounding, square roots, absolute values System Functions – Allow you to do case statements String Functions – Allow you to do left trim, reverse uppers Special Fields – Options available in GP 2010, using a multi-company report allows you to pull in the company that the data is coming from.

5 Match Tables Combine work, open and history tables into one Report
Example: Add “Year to date Transaction Open” to report and then use Matched Tables to link the “Account Transaction History”

6 Summary Summary SmartList Multicompany SmartList
Summarize the data based on criteria selected Select the summary type for each field: Group By, Count, Minimum, Maximum, Sum, Average Multicompany SmartList Contains data from multiple companies Summary allows you to summarize the data based on the fields you want. Can summarize the data by grouping by a field or fields and then doing a count, minimum, maximum, sum or average on the other fields. Multicompany option allows you to pull data from multiple companies into one SmartList.

This is the same feature you see in the default SmartLists. Multicompany Report Consolidate all reports into a single workbook Consolidate all reports into a single worksheet* Create Summary Page “Multicompany Report”: Will create the same workbook for each company when published so that you don’t have to log into each company and publish it. “Consolidate all reports into a single workbook”: Creates Excel Workbook that has worksheet for each company “Consolidate all reports into a single worksheet*”: Creates Excel Worksheet that has the data for multiple companies “Create Summary Page”: Creates Summary worksheet for all companies based on columns selected
