1 Skyward Online Student Course Requests 2018-2019 School Year

2 Skyward: Online Student Course Requests
Students will choose their course requests and alternate choices for the school year from home. Pre-requisites have been set up for many of the courses available for the school year. This will prevent the student from selecting a course for which they have not yet met the requirements. Campuses have the option to allow students to select alternates and the total number that can be selected The alternates are considered if selected courses are not available during the scheduling process.

3 Course Registration Timeline
Online Skyward Access Incoming 6th grade: January 29th – February 15th Incoming 7th – 12th grade: February 5th – February 19th High School Course Fairs & Incoming 9th Grade Parent Night February 12th (hosted at each high school campus)

4 This will bring the students to the CCISD Skyward Login screen.
Skyward: Online Student Course Requests Students will log in from the CCISD home page. Go to (1) & click (2). 1 2 This will bring the students to the CCISD Skyward Login screen.

5 Login ID: _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ @ccisd.net (Student ID)
Students will login with their CCISD Student ID and CCISD Cafeteria Pin. Login ID: _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ (Student ID) Password: 00_ _ _ _ _ _ (Cafeteria Pin) The student’s credentials MUST be used to login. The Course Requests process is not active under a Parent/Guardian Login. Once the Login ID and Password are entered, click the “Sign In” button to log into site.

6 IF the student receives the “Pop-Up Blocker Warning” screen, click the “Retry” button to bypass the pop-up blocker.

7 Requesting Courses for 2018-2019 School Year
(1) Click the “Schedule” tab on the left (2) Notice the screen shows “Course Requests now open” (3) To start entering the requests, click the “Request Courses for in Campus” link. 2 3 1

8 To search for a course, enter the course number on the search line, then click the “Search” button (1) Highlight the course (2) Click the “Add Course” button (3) Click the “Clear” button to reset and search for next course Repeat the process for adding more courses 3 Available Courses for 2 1

9 HELPFUL TIP: If you click on the course name, a balloon will appear showing “Class Info” for the course. Available Courses for

10 Students who do not meet the required Pre-requisites will receive a red message on the bottom of the screen (1). “The selected course(s) have pre-requisites that have not been met.” 2 1 This course will NOT be added to the student’s “Selected Courses.” The student will need to choose a different course. Click the “Clear” button (2) to reset and search for new course.

11 Click the “Request Alternates” tab (1)
Click the “Request Alternates” tab (1). You will add courses to “Selected Alternate Courses” the same way you added the requests. To search for a course, enter the course number on the search line, then click the “Search” button (2). Highlight the course (3) and click the “Add Course” button (4) 1 Available Alternate Courses for 4 3 2

12 Alternate courses will be displayed under the “Selected Alternate Courses”.
The arrows are used to move the Alternates to a different order for priority. This does NOT mean the student will automatically get the 1st alternate listed during the scheduling process.

13 Students will see “Total Requests/Scheduled, Total Alternates, and Total Credits” displayed above the Selected Alternate Courses (1). 1 Option to print the requests is available by clicking the print icon.
