7 Simple and secure to use – A 3-step approach to SAP Signature Management with bank-grade security

8 SAP Signature Management: Simple 3 step approach
Get documents from SAP system Supports popular file formats and includes PDF conversion signers and specify workflow 1. Prepare Guided signing for remote, free form and in-person signing Includes: Mobile sign and send, based authentication and geolocation capture Works even when offline 2. Execute Prepare With SAP Signature Management, preparing transactions is as easy as opening any document in SAP Signature Management where anyone can drag and drop fields for data, approval, and signatures, and route to recipients in an efficient, automated workflow. We have developed our own secure documents technology that lets you do a number of things: Use virtually any type of file –works with your existing forms (e.g., CAD file) We support all field types (e.g., text fields, check boxes, drop downs) Provide on-demand, self service documents (no sender!) (powerform) – extreme efficiency for standard forms (e.g., college applications and loan forms – DeVry, Full Sail) – come back to that later We offer the most robust workflows available. Our customers don’t have to adapt their workflows to match SAP Signature Management, but rather can configure SAP Signature Management match their existing workflows. Senders can assign a variety of roles (e.g., buyer/seller, or HR/legal). Recipients can do far more than just sign or receive a copy – they can review or approve for example – or negotiate Send at scale with bulk recipients – same doc to a large number of recipients (e.g., HR forms that all employees need to sign like sales compensation plans. One company – major player in overnight packages – used us to send severance packages) All of these forms, data and workflow can be managed in a template that you can use repeatedly and modify as needed. Most importantly, setting up templates doesn’t require any coding, so anyone can do it. Execute Executing virtually any kind of agreement has become as easy as sending an . Our system can provide as much or as little identity management and authentication as you need. We have created a robust set of tools that allow signers to authenticate when they sign, including multifactor and two-factor authentication options providing a high level of assurance that the right people are accessing a document. Most methods of authentication Of course, signing is important. We built SAP Signature Management so that businesses can use it to sign any way they need to– remotely, face-to-face, or via website. Moreover, we incorporated a step requiring signers to “adopt” their signature. This adoption step complies with the ESIGN Act and is one of the reasons we warrant adherence to the Federal ESIGN Act. There are a few ways a signer may adopt a signature. From our web console, they will be asked to select a style. On a mobile touch-screen device, they can sign on the screen. Both types of signature are considered equally strong, it’s just a matter of personal preference Digital signature – type of electronic signature that follows a specific standard - X.509 standard for a Public Key Infrastructure (PKI). Like a tool box vs. a hammer. Some countries have a preference for digital signatures. Manage Even after executing the transaction, our platform isn’t finished working for you. Our reporting dashboard lets you gain insight into the status of transactions across the organization (e.g., how many transactions have we completed? Who has the most outstanding agreements? How long is it taking us to close deals?). This real-time reporting is available both in our product and via third party applications. SAP Signature Management collects a large amount of information about what’s happening with a transaction, giving you a 100% audit trail with details such as who has accessed a document, what pages they looked at, where they were when they signed (via GPS). This detailed audit trail arms you with an exhaustive list of proof associated with a transaction, should you ever find yourself in court. Our customers have several storage options: Store it with SAP Signature Management as long as you’d like or your retention policy requires Store it in your own system and not with SAP Signature Management – you can actually have it deleted from the DS system Or both – in which case SAP Signature Management essentially acts as an escrow. 99.99% Historical Uptime Visibility to docs in SAP solutions Reporting includes: real-time status, audit trail and certification of completion One account, one login, all synchronized 3. Manage *predefined documents, signers, and workflow for commonly used documents

22 Available – Carrier grade architecture
Always-On, Continuous Availability and Resilient Performance at Peak Load Never worry about system availability or disaster recovery again Real-time, replicating, active DocuSign sites Massively redundant distributed data Fast and reliable storage systems Global load balancing and traffic management with session-based site failover Choice of data residency within North America or the EU Overall Message: Our Carrier Grade architecture is designed to handle different failure scenarios (both ordinary and extraordinary) and provide an extremely reliable service to customers. Customers have choice to store their data in North America or European Union. In both North America and European Union, we maintain active-active-active clusters that have real-time replication and failover. Each disk, server, cluster, network device, rack, logical component, WAN link is redundant (has backup components). We utilize both dynamic request routing “DRR” and blob data replication over private, dedicated fiber connections (Blob Storage system stores 9 copies of each document, nodes always contain latest data) & hardening to make sure our storage systems can gracefully recover in order to provide uninterrupted service to the customer. In addition to providing improved failure handling, our Carrier Grade Architecture is built to allow DocuSign to eliminate all scheduled maintenance of our system. Notes: How we handle site and subsystem failures: Site failure: If one session fails, next session is redirected to an active site by Akamai using dynamic request routing “DDR”. Next session occurs at a new site using replicated data. When the down nodes return to service, the asynchronous replicator allows those nodes to catch up on data they lost gracefully once back in service. OLTP/BLOB subsystem failure within one site: Web application layer connects to other data centers, and future sessions are redirected to alternate site using dynamic request routing “DDR”. When the down nodes return to service, the asynchronous replicator allows those nodes to catch up on data they lost gracefully once back in service. Definitions: Dynamic Request Routing “DRR”: DRR instantly and automatically adjusts to component failure in real time. Each component maintains a dynamic list of available servers that it can fail over to, including servers in remote data centers (in case of severe failure scenarios). Quorum based parallel writes: As document writes are performed, the storage system attempts to synchronously write the document to all nodes in all 3 datacenters in parallel. Asynchronous peer-to-peer data replication: The storage system includes a native peer to peer replicator which ensures that nodes are always containing the latest data. This mechanism ensures that nodes which were down or replaces always contain the latest data from their peers, despite missing a portion of the transaction flow for some duration of time. This replication can move many GBs of data in mere seconds when a node is returned to service due to some outage or maintenance activity. Zero maintenance downtime Zero data loss in a disaster for maximum peace-of-mind Consistently high performance, even at peak load Pictured: Active-Active-Active Architecture
