3. Motivation in the past no central repository for metadata/data
different view concerning one and the same variable (e.g. current activity status)
no standardised metadata management (what kind of metadata, what format, …)
difficult data exchange between units (due to lack of harmonisation, change of the data structure, ..)
solution – statistical datawarehouse (sDWH)
internal, house-wide, easy accessible centralized platform
harmonisation and standardisation of metadata/data
instance for data dissemination and visualisation

technical solution was fixed in 2015
self developed solution with common in-house standard components (DB2 database + Java Application)
1. trial stage with prototype of the sDWH in summer 2016

start of the distribution in April 2017
