1 Sharpen Pencil Collect textbook, pdn 3. Sit in assigned seat
September 23, 2016 Sharpen Pencil Collect textbook, pdn 3. Sit in assigned seat 4. Begin working on PDN silently Diffused arches (Intermediate) To reproduce the shape effects on this slide, do the following: On the Home tab, in the Slides group, click Layout, and then click Blank. On the Home tab, in the Drawing group, click Shapes, and then under Lines, click Curve (tenth option from the left). On the slide, click three points to draw a simple curved line, and then double-click to finish drawing. Select the curved line. On the Home tab, in the Drawing group, click the arrow next to Shape Fill, point to Gradient, and then click More Gradients. In the Format Shape dialog box, click Fill in the left pane, select Gradient fill in the Fill pane, and then do the following: In the Type list, select Linear. Click the button next to Direction, and then click Linear Down (first row, second option from the left). Under Gradient stops, click Add gradient stop or Remove gradient stop until two stops appear in the slider. Also under Gradient stops, customize the gradient stops that you added as follows: Select the first stop in the slider, and then do the following: In the Position box, enter 0%. Click the button next to Color, and then under Theme Colors click White, Background 1 (first row, first option from the left). In the Transparency box, enter 50%. Select the second stop in the slider, and then do the following: In the Position box, enter 100%. In the Transparency box, enter 100%. On the Home tab, in the Drawing group, click Shape Effects, point to Soft Edges, and then click 5 point. On the Home tab, in the Drawing group, click the arrow next to Shape Outline, and then click No Outline. To reproduce the background effects on this slide, do the following: Right-click the slide background area, and then click Format Background. In the Format Background dialog box, click Fill in the left pane, select Gradient fill in the right pane, and then do the following: In the Type list, select Radial. Click the button next to Direction, and then click From Center (third option from the left). Under Gradient stops, click Add gradient stop or Remove gradient stop until two stops appear in the slider Click the button next to Color, and then under Theme Colors click White, Background 1, Darker 50% (sixth row, first option from the left). To reproduce the duplicate curved lines on the slide, do the following: On the Home tab, in the Clipboard group, click the arrow under Copy, and then click Duplicate. Repeat the process for a total of three curved lines. On the slide, drag the curved lines to position them as needed. Right-click one of the duplicate curved lines, click Edit Points, and then drag the points on the curve to make a new shape. Repeat the process with the other duplicate curved line.

2 7th Grade Teks 7.7 Force, motion and energy. The student knows that there is a relationship among force, motion, and energy. 7.7A The student is expected to contrast situations where work is done with different amounts of force to situations where no work is done such as moving a box with a ramp and without a ramp, or standing still.

3 6th Grade Teks 6.5C differentiate between elements and compounds on the basic level 6.5D identify the formation of a new substance by using the evidence of a possible chemical change such as production of gas, change in temperature, production of a parcipitate, or color change. 6.6A compare metals, nonmetals, and metalloids using physical properties such as luster, conductivity, or malleability

4 7th Grade Lo / Dol Lo: We will compare and contrast force and work by completing a note outline that follows along with a power point. TEK:7.7A The student is expected to contrast situations where work is done with different amounts of force to situations where no work is done such as moving a box with a ramp and without a ramp, or standing still.

5 7th Grade Lo / Dol DOL: I will complete 5 written assessment questions over force and work via the all in clickers.

6 6th Grade LO / DOL LO: We will create a poster to demonstrate our knowledge over the different groups of elements on the periodic table to demonstrate our knowledge over specific elements on the periodic table. TEK: 6.5C differentiate between elements and compounds on the basic level 6.5D identify the formation of a new substance by using the evidence of a possible chemical change such as production of gas, change in temperature, production of a parcipitate, or color change. 6.6A compare metals, nonmetals, and metalloids using physical properties such as luster, conductivity, or malleability

7 6th Grade LO / DOL DOL: I will complete an exit slip to explain 3 new things I learned about the group of elements that my poster project is about.

8 7th Grade Lesson What do you think it means to do work? Explain.
(class discuss) Let’s see if we are right? (watch video clip) Eureka Video Gravity, work, force

9 7th Grade Lesson Teacher will pass out note outline
Students will take out chrome books Students will log into Students will click on 1st 6 weeks Students will on Work power point to open it Students will follow along with power point to complete note outline

10 Metal / Nonmetal / Metalloid Poster Project
6th Grade Lesson Teacher will pass out and explain directions for Metal / Nonmetal / Metalloid Poster Project
