The FaxCentre 2121 is not just a refresh of the F116. The product has been completely redesigned from the inside out. As a result, the reliability of the FaxCentre 2121 has also been much improved over the F116. A new print engine not only increased the print speed from 16 to 21 pages per minute, but improved the reliability of the device for users. The FaxCentre 2121 now has an increased Monthly Duty Cycle up to 10,000, and a boost in recommended average monthly page volumes from 1,875 to 2,500.
The FaxCentre 2121’s paper path also has an advantage over that of the F116. A more robust paper feeding mechanism gives the FaxCentre times the reliability rates of the F116. Additionally, jam clearance and consumable access is easier with a front access door. A rear door allows provides quick access for fuser jam clearance. Finally, an improved output tray design prevents dislodging if accidentally bumped against.

There are two feature-rich configurations of the FaxCentre 2121 that are designed to support variety of office needs: A single line configuration and a dual line configuration. The only difference between the two configurations is that the dual line configuration has a second phone line. The benefits to having a second line is simultaneous transmission and/ or reception, even during peak times which cuts down on missed calls and waiting for a fax to transmit. Please note that a single line configuration cannot be upgraded to a dual line configuration.
For customers who want to best leverage the workgroup multifunctionality of their FaxCentre 2121, the network activation kit enables network printing and PCL6 and PostScript emulation. For high volume fax users, an additional paper tray can be added to increase the paper capacity to 750.
